Karen Lazas, D.V.M.
born in Syracuse, New York; graduated from Oldham County High School, University of Kentucky, and Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating from UK she worked at WHAS TV as a news producer. She has practiced veterinary medicine in Louisville at Veterinary Associates Stonefield where she worked and studied with Sam Vaughn, D.V.M. and Kurt Oliver, D.V.M. Dr. Vaughn shared his experience in avian and exotic medicine and Dr. Oliver shared his knowledge of canine reproduction and surgical procedures. She continued to use her knowledge and experience in treating dogs, cats, and exotics when she moved to Chenoweth Animal Hospital, just before opening her own practice in 2013. She has done extensive volunteer work with Alley Cats. Karen shares her home with two dogs - Zoey and Chuck, two cats - Kiki, and Frances, and one rabbit - Miss Bea. She and her dogs are avid hikers and campers.
a native of Chester, Virginia, studied Mathematics at Morehead University and Bellarmine College before graduating from Brown Mackie College as a Veterinary Technician. Stephanie has one cat. Stephanie bowled on the Bellarmine University team and is still very committed to honing her skills in her favorite sport.
grew up in Lima, Ohio, then moved to Gainesville, Florida to earn an associates in science zoo animals degree from Sante Fe Community College. She worked at the Panama City Beach Zoo and the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago before moving to Louisville where she has workd as a veterinary technician since 1999. She and her husband Wes also have a busy pet sitting business. Sherri shares her home with four dogs, four cats, and two birds.
